ARTIST STATEMENT
I am a multi media artist with an emphasis on drawing, painting, and constructions. My visual vocabulary is eclectic — whatever it takes to make the piece work. I work in series. A series provides a continuity that allows me time to develop the visual language needed for my story line, whether figurative or abstract. Growing up I was influenced by Walt Disney, comic books and lots of Saturday afternoon movies. Playing with fantasy and reality, I see my work as sequential — like animated films. There is always a story going on in my head. I often use digital prints of previous drawings to expand the story line and add to the visual continuity.
